Nils Risheim joined IMS HEALTH in July 1996 and was Responsible for the finance and
sales planning for the Global Client Services International organization. Among his tasks
were the planning, analysis and reporting of international sales data,
global client forecast analysis, development
of a global and regional potential-analysis for services in the various
countries for the worldwide leading pharmaceutical corporations. Mr. Risheim
also developed and implemented a global Intranet based on client business
information, planning navigation tool.
Prior
to joining IMS, Nils Risheim was marketing services
manager, Pharmacia & Upjohn Germany, responsible for direct marketing,
sales territory analysis and market research and support of Upjohn“s sales and
marketing activities. In this position, Nils Risheim lead the marketing
research and direct marketing department, responsible for the pre-marketing,
forecasting and building up awareness through market research of new products
as well as planning and coordination of exhibitions and medical conferences.
As
Marketing Information Manager, Upjohn in 1991-1994, Nils Risheim directed
marketing research, sales and marketing controlling. He was in addition the project leader of
a team of 11 sales representatives in a project of business process
reengineering in sales and marketing effectiveness. The result was revenue growth
of 17 percent, compared to four percent sales improvement for the rest of the
organization. In his position as Manager Sales Controlling,
Nils
Risheim lead during 1990 and 1991 the developed, implementation and execution
of one of Germany' s first laptop based computerized territory management and
reporting system for pharmaceutical
sales force and marketing management. This implied a dramatically improvement
in analysis and reporting of the sales force efficiency of the company.
Prior to 1989 Nils Risheim held progressively
responsible positions, including manager financial analysis, divisional
controller and various positions in international management analysis. He
started his business career in the pharmaceutical industry with Abbott
Laboratories in 1982.
Nils Risheim holds a Master in Business
Administration in Marketing, Finance and International Business from the
University of Wisconsin, USA. He received the Diplom Oekonom degree from the
Norwegian School of Management in Oslo, Norway.
